Trichomes Pt. 1

Trichomes on cannabis plant.
Unless you happen to be blind, it’s safe to say you’ve noticed the little “crystals” on your favorite bud. You may not know what they are, but you know when you see them you’re about to smoke some good shit. These frosty little guys are called trichomes. At the most basic level they are protectors of the herb, defending them from insects, animals, UV rays, harmful winds and more. But don’t think it stops there!
Trichomes are the source of most cannabinoids, such as THC, CBD, and terpenes. They determine taste, flavor, and effects of each strain. They’re responsible for that sticky resin you practically have to scrap off when handling quality weed. There’s so much more to them than meets the eye.
